Natural Benefits

It has long been known and scientifically established that many naturally occurring materials have beneficial therapeutic properties.

Before pharmacology saw the emergence of manufactured medicines, common ailments were often successfully treated with what occurred wildly in nature.

And that practice continues as more and more researchers look to nature and in OceanFit’s case the products of the sea for the health benefits they potentially provide.

Greenshell™ Mussels

Considerable developmental work has been carried out by AUT on a Greenshell™ Mussel supplement, with strong evidence that, over time, the supplement reduces reliance on painkillers for joint pain associated with arthritis (insert footnote link to relevant papers).

Those findings have been supported by historical evidence provided by iwi in New Zealand who have noted the health differences experienced between coastal Maori whose diet included Greenshell™ Mussels and tribes living further inland who did not regularly eat the mussels.
